Colour conté is a dry medium commonly used in still life drawings. Some artists use them more like paint then as a drawing tool. The 12 assorted colour set lean toward a very bright spectrum of hues that mix well on paper.
- Choose some objects to draw. They can select items that I bring or they can choose something of their own.
- Select a paper colour that correlates best with your subject and lightly sketch the composition of your drawing with a pencil.
- Colour in solid areas while keeping in mind the light source, perspective and 3D form. Use various tones to indicate light and shadows on the objects.
