In this lesson you will draw a sphere, a cube and a cylinder from observation. This study is meant to help you see how three-dimensional objects appear in reality. It will also give you a better understanding of how light creates shadows, highlights and reflections on 3D forms.
- Roughly sketch in the placement of each object on your paper.
- Draw in your lines lightly at first and darken them when you are confident about them.
- Shade in the shadows and delicately shade in the lighter areas. Leave the strongest highlights white.
