What is a Logo?
A logo serves as a symbolic representation of a product or organization. Effective logos are typically simple and easily recognizable, enabling quick and lasting recollection. A strong logo communicates information visually and efficiently, becoming the face of an organization and facilitating its recognition. Every aspect of a logo, from the font to the colors and imagery, contributes to the identity of the organization it represents.
Questions for Discussion:
Logos come in various forms, ranging from straightforward and simplistic designs like the 'f' in the Facebook logo to more intricate and enigmatic symbols like the mermaid in the Starbucks logo, which holds a deeper narrative. Behind every logo lies a story and purpose, reflecting the identity and values of the organization it represents.

What you do
Thumbnails: Begin by sketching several thumbnail ideas of your design using the first initial of your name. Your sketches should reflect your interests, values, personality, dreams, hobbies, etc. Remember, it's all about representing YOU.
Eliminate Weak Ideas: Choose the idea that resonates with you the most and refine it further. Use markers to add color to your designs, selecting hues that best represent you.
Draw 3D Initial: Create a larger pencil line drawing of your chosen design on a folded sheet of art paper.
Render: Outline and color your initial design to bring it to life.
Cutout: Fold the paper and carefully cut out your initial to create a duplicate copy for the back.
Sides: Utilize a long strip of paper to measure the lengths of each side of your initial. Score and fold the flaps along the strip to create tabs that can be glued onto the letter.
Glue Sides: Attach the folded flaps to the front of your initial design, ensuring they are securely glued. Then, glue the back in place.
Feedback: Share your designs with classmates and seek their feedback. Be prepared to explain the reasoning behind your design choices.
Second Initial: If time permits, you may also create the initial of your last name.
