Collaborating

My aim is to collaborate closely with a writer to bring their story to life through visual art. I'm actively seeking a professional partnership with someone who possesses experience or insights into the world of graphic novel publishing. I'm open to exploring unconventional storylines and innovative approaches to marketing and selling the book. While I currently work as a full-time art instructor, I view collaborating on a book as a passionate side project, at least for the time being. Quality is paramount to me, and I'm committed to dedicating the necessary time and personal investment to produce the best work possible.

Cinematic Impressions

I draw inspiration not only from the realm of comics but also from the world of cinema. Films such as "Prometheus," "007 Casino Royale," "A Star is Born," "Star Wars," "Thor," "Kingsman," "Toy Story," "Gattaca," "The Godfather," "Kung-fu Panda," "Avatar," "The Matrix," "Time and Spring," "Robocop," and the seasons of "Summer," "Fall," "Winter," and "Spring" have left a lasting impact on my creative perspective.

Perspectives on Comics

I see the role of a comic book illustrator akin to that of a film director, both responsible for shaping the visual narrative and pacing of the story. Comic book illustrators wield the creative power to give life to characters, scenes, and the entire visual experience for readers. I firmly believe that comic books have untapped potential beyond their current status, and I aspire to a future where graphic novels enjoy the same popularity as traditional paperbacks. Perhaps comic books can serve as a dynamic bridge between the worlds of literature and cinema.
