Matryoshka Dolls
Matryoshka dolls, also known as Russian nesting dolls, are a traditional Russian art form that features a set of wooden dolls of decreasing size placed one inside another. Students designed and painted their own set of nesting dolls, focusing on detail, pattern, and color while exploring the cultural significance and artistic techniques involved in creating these charming dolls.

Endangered Species Poster
In this lesson, students will create a hand-drawn Endangered Species Poster featuring an animal that is currently at risk of extinction. Building on the techniques learned in Drawing Animals on Colored Paper, students will combine realistic animal illustration, color theory, and graphic design to communicate information visually.

This project entails a mixture of illustration, graphic design and typography. Students illustrated a Self-Discovery Profile Illustration that presents their deepest inner most thoughts and desires. They gained self-awareness through introspective questions and considered what kinds of imagery to incorporate into their artwork.

3D Home Floor Plan
Students explore architectural design by creating a home floor plan and developing it into a 3D perspective drawing inspired by professional architectural illustrations. Students learned how architects organize space, communicate function, and suggest depth using line, color, and perspective. The final artwork combined planning, structure, and expressive rendering using markers and colored pencils.

Halloween Mask
