OPENING BIO

Richard Lee is a Canadian visual arts educator and illustrator with twenty years of experience working across schools, studios, and international educational settings. Trained in Technical and Scientific Illustration at Sheridan College and Art Foundations at OCAD University, he brings a disciplined visual intelligence to teaching — one shaped equally by the precision of technical drawing and the emotional directness of fine art.

He has taught learners of every age and background, from young children finding their first marks to secondary students preparing serious portfolios. His approach is unhurried and attentive: he believes the quality of a student's attention matters more than the speed of their progress, and that patience — real patience, not just the appearance of it — is what separates good teaching from transformative teaching.
